Lawrence and Buck elected to new House GOP leadership positions Denver – This morning, the Hou se GOP held an election to replace former Assistant House Minority Leader Libby Szabo, who left the state le gislature after she was appointed as a Jefferson County Commissioner last week. Representative Polly Lawrenc e (R-Roxborough Park), who previously served as the caucus whip, was unanimously elected Assistant Minority Leader, and Representative Perry Buck (R-Windsor) was elected caucus whip following the vacancy left by Lawr ence.”I am honored and grateful to have the support from my colleagues to serve as the Assistant Ca ucus Leader,” said Lawrence.”We are stronger as a team and I welcome this opportunity to fa cilitate greater teamwork and caucus unity moving forward.” Representative Perry Buck added: “We have a lot of talented new and returning members and I am excited to serve them in my role as wh ip,” said Buck.”I look forward to working with Minority Leader DelGrosso, Assistant Minorit y Leader Lawrence, Caucus chairwoman Lois Landgraf and the rest of our caucus to continue to advance free ma rket and limited government principles.”:
